At Resort Land & Zee sustainability is central to everything we do. We are actively engaged in making our resort more sustainable and reducing our impact on the environment every day. Comfort, quality and corporate responsibility go hand in hand with us.

What we do

Sustainable Solutions

First and foremost, we comply with all legal sustainability regulations as specified by the Dutch government. But we do much more!

In the past year and a half, we have therefore made targeted investments in sustainable solutions that contribute to a structural reduction of our energy consumption and our CO2 emissions.

Hybrid Heat Pump

The resort is equipped with a hybrid heat pump for heating the hotel rooms, allowing us to manage energy more efficiently and environmentally friendly.

Electric Charging Points

In addition, we have installed electric charging points so that our guests with an electric car can travel comfortably and responsibly.

Solar Panels

We have also made great strides in sustainable energy generation. Both the roof of the hotel and the roof of the large storage shed at the back of the grounds are equipped with solar panels. With these, we generate a significant portion of our own energy.

Sustainability within Resort Land & Zee doesn't stop with energy savings and sustainable facilities on our grounds. We look beyond our own resort and also take responsibility for our impact beyond it. That's why we collaborate with sustainable initiatives and invest in solutions that contribute to a better world: locally and internationally.

Our Partner

Hotels for Trees

Resort Land & Zee is a proud partner of Hotels for Trees. This non-profit organisation makes the hotel industry more sustainable by converting savings on room cleaning into planting trees, worldwide and in the Netherlands (including Limburg and Brabant).

Hotels for Trees has already planted more than 572,000 trees since its foundation in 2021, and this number is growing daily.

How can you contribute?

Are you staying with us for several nights? Then you can indicate at the reception on which days you do not wish to have your hotel room cleaned.

For every day without cleaning, we plant one tree on your behalf. This means:

  • No room cleaning
  • No towel replacement
  • No bed linen change

The costs we save through this are used for planting trees via Hotels for Trees.

VISIT HOTELS FOR TREES
Example: You stay with us for 5 nights and choose not to receive cleaning on day 2 and day 4. On day 3 your room is cleaned. In this case, we plant 2 trees on your behalf. This way, you contribute in a simple way to reducing CO2 emissions during your stay.

Local Water Concept

Ecotapwater

At the resort we use Ecotap Zeeland mineral water: a sustainable alternative to bottled water. With a special tap installation, local tap water is filtered, cooled and, if desired, carbonated. This way, our guests can enjoy delicious fresh table water without the environmental impact of plastic bottles and transport.

By using Ecotap we reduce:

  • The use of single-use plastic
  • The CO2 emissions caused by production and transport of bottles
  • Waste streams at the resort

Social Projects

Earth Water Projects

In addition, we provide our guests with a breakfast package annually during the Concert at Sea weekend. Since last year, we have chosen to include Earth Water bottles in these breakfast packages. Through Earth Water projects, clean drinking water is provided in places where it is not a given. With this choice at the resort, we contribute to better living conditions elsewhere in the world.
